So Very Sorry!

Hi all! I just wanted to do a quick post to let you all know that I have had a VERY difficult time as of late. On October 19 I lost my beloved dog Lacey. She was my child as we can not have a child and this put me in a deep depression. Deeper than I have ever been in my entire life.

Then, if that weren't enough, my computer crashed and I lost everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying very hard to get something going again. PLEASE be patient and check back soon! Thank you so much and please accept my apologies.

Miss me?

Hello everyone! Have you missed me? Sorry for the absents! My DH changed my operating system which meant he needed to download everything I had on the other system onto a Zip drive and then reload it on this operating system. It took him Much longer to do this for me than we both had anticipated! SO, without further a do--here is a new post. Fall is in full swing here and this card has all of the beautiful colors that are out right now. I was inspired to create this card from Julie Davison.

Recipe:

Stamps: French Foliage, Trendy Trees
Paper: Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Vanilla
Ink: Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, More Mustard, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler

I would just like to say thank you for sticking with me and being patient while we got the technological stuff worked out! Hope you like today's post and will leave some comments for me! Happy Stamping!

TEXAS VACATION

Hello everyone. I have been away for a bit. My husband and I have not had a vacation in 9 years!!!! Our Nephew graduated from high school and we promised my Mother In Law we would take her. I have a picture I want to show of what we get to see every day. My Sister In Law lives on top of a mesa and this is what her view is all of the time. Isn't it spectacular? Our vacation is coming to an end sadly. Tomorrow is our last day here and we are off to meet a friend, for the first time, that is in the area! Thursday we will be on the road again for 2 days to get back home. Until I return--Happy Stamping!

FYI

I thought I would just add a quick note here: If you are on a blog for the first time, if you click on a photo you will see a larger picture of that picture.

Inspiration!

It has been a while since I last posted so I thought I had better get another on before everyone thinks I have crawled under a rock some where. This card I did from an inspiration challenge that was on U Stamp. It was a different style for me but I think it turned out "delicious"!

Sunday, May 16, 2010

Swap Sisters Fun!

Last night on Swap Sisters we had a live tutorial with Sherri. We had a lot of fun. Something I have never done before as we had to make a card as per described with out knowing what the end look would be! So, in other words, we did our stamping blind so to speak! It was a lot of fun but I was very tired as it did not start until 11 p.m. and we went until 1 A.M.!!!! I used Bermuda Bay for a monochromatic look.

Saturday, May 1, 2010

This is the 2nd challenge that we did. We had to make a card using punches and only a greetings set. I used the Boho Blossoms punch, the Ornament punch, Med. Jewelry Tag punch and Tiny Tags set. I also scored the white cs to make it look like wayne's coating.
I was asked by Cindy to be a designer for her class that she did on-line. This is from one of the challenges we did. I created my own DSP with stamps that I thought resembled the Sweet Pea DSP that we were using for her class. What do you think? Does it look like DSP? I used Trendy Trees set, the Cornelli Lace JW and Bella Toile BG.
Another from Cindy's class. This one I used the Well Scripted set from the Ocassions Mini Catalog that just ended. I also used the Tea Party DSP.
Another card made from my friend Cindy's class. This one I used the Razzle Dazzle set and the Razzleberry Lemonade Dsp.

2 in one day!

I am actually doing another post! I know! I can't believe it either! I think I have this watermark thing down pat now. Let's see if I can get this posting almost every day down! (Don't hold your breathe).

I have some more fun cards to post that I did for the class I did with my friend Cindy.

This is a gate fold card using the Animal Stories set and Tall Tales DSP from Stampin Up!.

Sorry Friends

I would just like to appologize for being awhile since I last made a post. Life has been rather crazy here for the past month but I am breathing a little easier now. I am sure NONE of you can relate to that--LOL! I have been really trying to broaden my parameters as of late once again. I am teaching myself how to add a watermark to my pictures. I am hoping you can see it in this post.

I was recently attending an on-line class of a now very good friend and co-demonstrator Cindy Grantham. This Lady is AWESOME! She held an on-line class and we had such a good time. This picture is one sample that I made for her class. It used a set that was available ONLY during Sale-a-bration and also uses one of my favorite DSP's Cottage Wall. I hope you enjoy!

Sunday, March 21, 2010

I was inspired by 2 wonderful cards to create this one. TSacrison and Melissa 85 both over at SCS. I combined TSacrisons layout with Melissa's Shabby Chic style and created this beauty!!!! Well done ladies!!! this is one of my favorites. I am still amazed with the sharing that stampers do. We uplift and inspire one another, sharing in the love of the craft! After 12 years I am still in awe for everyone's generosity! So to all my stamping Sisters a big heartfelt Thank You!
